As the sound echoes in the distance, you use the moment to slip silently in the opposite direction, hoping to evade detection entirely.Tightening your grip on the welding torch, you leap from your hiding spot and charge toward the source of the sound, the blue flame casting wild arcs of light. You aim to startle or incapacitate whatever is coming before it has the chance to reach you.You spot a coil of heavy industrial cable nearby and quickly rig it across the corridor, just above floor level. With the welding torch still in hand, you crouch behind the crate and wait, ready to spring into action if the intruder trips over your makeshift trap.You extinguish the welding torch and press yourself deeper into the shadows, holding your breath as the sound draws closer.
