Instead of focusing on the movement, you notice a strange, rhythmic signal embedded in the surveillance feed's static. Using the console, you isolate the signal and trace its source to the station's communications hub. With your scanner and a stun baton in hand, you decide to head to the hub to confront whatever is broadcasting the transmission.You zoom in on the surveillance feed, trying to make out the figure moving in the corridor. As the static clears momentarily, you see a shadowy humanoid figure dragging something heavy, leaving a trail of viscous black residue behind. Grabbing a wrench from the tool chest, you decide to leave the engineering bay and follow the figure to uncover what it's doing.You shove more equipment in front of the engineering bay door, reinforcing your barricade. Then, you scour the bay for makeshift weapons and tools: a plasma torch, a stun baton, and a heavy spanner. With your defenses in place, you position yourself near the console to monitor the feeds, ready to fight if anything breaches your safe zone.Ignoring the figure on the feed for now, you focus on the console and attempt to reroute power to the station's unexplored lower levels. The alien symbols flash more frequently as if resisting your commands, but you manage to restore partial lighting to an ominous sublevel labeled "Containment Wing." Grabbing a flashlight, you decide to investigate the mysterious wing.
