Station Omega
You spot a small, dusty terminal embedded in the wall of the maintenance shaft. Its screen flickers faintly, and you crawl toward it, hoping to access the station's security logs. If you can find records of what happened here, you might understand the source of the hum and the unsettling atmosphere around you. Despite the suffocating hum, you grab a loose piece of metal piping from the maintenance shaft and toss it down a side passage. The clatter echoes through the confined space, and you hold your breath, hoping the noise will draw attention away from your location—or at least give you a moment to think clearly. You crawl further through the maintenance shaft, searching for an access panel that might connect to the station's environmental controls. If the oppressive hum and the strange metallic scent are tied to the station's systems, you might be able to identify and isolate the source before it overwhelms you completely. Your hands tremble, but you force yourself to focus. Using bits of wiring and loose components from the maintenance shaft, you rig a crude defensive trap. If something—or someone—is following you through these claustrophobic tunnels, you’ll be ready to defend yourself when they get too close.
