Echoes of Revolution
Jonathan carefully removes a hidden torch from his bag, igniting it with a sharp strike against the cobblestones. Shielding the flickering flame with his hand, he edges closer to the wagon, slipping the torch beneath the tarp to set the gunpowder barrels ablaze.Jonathan slides beneath the wagon, gripping his trusty knife tightly. He carefully carves into the wooden axle, weakening its structure so the wagon will break apart under pressure, spilling its contents and creating a distraction for the British guards.Jonathan creeps up to the tavern entrance and cries out with urgency, "Quick, there’s a fire at the Governor’s estate!" before vanishing into the nearby shadows. He watches as the driver and soldiers abandon their posts to investigate, creating the perfect opportunity for him to act.Jonathan notices a flickering lantern swinging precariously by the square. He scrambles up a stack of crates, grabs the lantern, and flings it toward the gunpowder-laden wagon, banking on the impact to ignite a fiery eruption.
