The Investigator
Evelyn's heart raced as she peered into the dim alley, the memory of the close call still vivid. Her eyes locked on a shadowy figure lingering at the edge. "I know you were there," she said firmly, her hand hovering near her holster as she took a cautious step forward. "Tell me who you are and what you saw about the driver."Evelyn noticed the black sedan parked carelessly a short distance away, its hood radiating heat in the chilly night air. With her flashlight illuminating the ground, she traced the fresh muddy footprints leading toward an old, decrepit warehouse and whispered, "This ends tonight," as she stepped forward.Evelyn pressed herself against the cold metal of the dumpster, her eyes locked on the sedan parked under a flickering streetlight. She raised her radio, her voice firm. "Dispatch, secure a perimeter immediately. The suspect is on foot, potentially armed—this ends here tonight."Evelyn retreated from the alley, her thoughts churning as she analyzed the situation. Pressing her radio, she issued a command: "Get me everything on the black sedan—registration details, past reports, and any flagged activity. Also, secure all traffic cam footage from Greystone immediately; we’re uncovering the truth tonight."
